First — before HINTS
Is this acute, continuous vertigo?
HINTS is only validated for the acute vestibular syndrome — dizzy right now, continuously, for hours to days. Episodic or purely positional spells are a different problem.
Stylised teaching animation, exaggerated for visibility. Not a recording of a real patient and not diagnostic. HINTS applies only to acute continuous vertigo assessed in person by a trained clinician.
